Goldman Sachs Group Inc. analysts have raised their view of the property/casualty insurance sector from “cautious” to “neutral,” Artemis.bm reported.
They said merger and acquisition activity is likely to increase and this may present an "upside risk,” which in turn may boost P&C insurance and reinsurance shares "despite headwinds from deteriorating fundamentals and the potential for higher interest rates." An increasing role by alternative capital investors is likely in the acquisition space.
