Japan to suspend trade insurance for Venezuela

Japan-based Nippon Export and Investment Insurance has said that it would halt underwriting of new trade insurance for deals with Venezuela, The Japan Times reported citing Jiji Press.

NEXI said that Venezuela might fail to fulfill its payment obligations for Japanese exports as the country faces foreign currency shortages amid weaker oil prices.
