To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Insurer confidence level in Brazil falls in June: Index

The monthly indicator ICES that measures the confidence and expectations of Brazilian insurers, reinsurers and brokers has shown that confidence decreased in June, BNamericas reported.

The country's brokerage federation Fenacor said that the ICES index fell to 71.9 from 75.5 and 74.1 in May and April, respectively. About 57% of brokers, 46% of reinsurers and 40% of insurers expect profitability to be "worse" in the coming six months. Only 8% of reinsurers and 5% of brokers expect the situation in the insurance sector to be "better."
