Zurich Insurance eyes entry into India

Zurich Insurance Group Ltd. is said to be studying the Indian market in order to set up shop in the country, mydigitalfc.com reported.

"With the foreign direct investment cap being hiked now, Zurich is studying various rules and regulations for the sector in India," officials said.

T.S. Vijayan, chairman of India's insurance regulator, had earlier said that new players have been considering entering the country's insurance market, mydigitalfc.com reports.
