A Russian regional commercial court has ordered 20 overseas insurers to pay $16 million to the country's Kapital Strakhovaniye Insurance Co. related to a Superjet 100 aircraft crash in 2012, Rapsinews.com reported.

Kapital Strakhovaniye, an affiliate of Russian insurer OAO Rosgosstrakh, had filed a lawsuit against 24 foreign insurers in 2013, initially claiming $32.4 million in damages. The defendants left on the list include Italy's Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. and U.S.-based Berkshire Hathaway International Insurance Ltd., among others.
