China largest market for Munich Re in Asia Pacific region, official says

Ludger Arnoldussen, board member of Munich Reinsurance Co. said in an interview that China is the largest market for the reinsurer in Asia Pacific region, reported South China Morning Post.

Munich Re has said that the increasing demand for natural catastrophe insurance in the country would boost the reinsurer's growth in the country's reinsurance market.

Munich Re's premium income from the Chinese market increased 25% year on year to total €1.39 billion ($1.66 billion) in 2013.
