Latin America: Insurance sector's growth prospects strong, Swiss Re official says

Florian Kummer, head of Swiss Re Ltd.'s reinsurance property/casualty unit for Latin America, has said that there are strong growth prospects for the region's insurance sector to create new markets, BNamericas reports.

Growth opportunities are driven by huge demand for insurance products and ongoing structural reforms, said Mr. Kummer.

Latin America has been the fastest developing insurance market in the world over the past decade.
