BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Insurer Gard to pull out of Sweden in 2015

Marine insurer Gard A.S. has said that it would end its businesses in Sweden in 2015 and would focus on the marine insurance sector in the Nordic region from its Norwegian headquarters, IHS Maritime 360? reported.

Rolf Thore Roppestad, chief executive of Gard, said Sweden accounted for just 1.5% of the insurer's business and it is "easy to handle that business from Norway."

The move is aimed at simplifying Gard's business and will allow it to "handle one regulator less," Mr. Roppestad said.
