Canada: Railway involved in Quebec crash to be closed

The Canadian subsidiary of Montreal, Maine and Atlantic Railway Ltd. involved in the deadly Quebec crash last month will be shutting down as the company's insurance cover is not sufficient to meet the entire costs involved in clean-up and damages.

The company's insurance only covers liabilities of up to $27.6 million Canadian ($26.6 million), whereas the bill for clean-up and repairs totals to more than CAD 223 million, ABC News reported.
