To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

Cost to farmers from European flooding expected to exceed $1.3 billion

The recent European flooding is expected to cost farmers more than €1 billion ($1.3 billion), EurActiv reported.

Up to 20% of the vegetable crop was damaged in the Czech Republic and more than 400 farms in Germany have suffered crop losses. Agricultural companies outside Central Europe were also affected because of flooding in Italy's Umbria region. Martin Pýcha, president of the Czech Agricultural Association, said "many farmers do not have flood insurance."
