A new poll by Morgan Stanley & Co. L.L.C. indicates that pricing for property catastrophe reinsurance is expected to drop by around 10% to 20% during the mid-year reinsurance renewals, reports Artemis.bm.

The study also indicates that the participation of alternative reinsurance capital during the mid-year renewals could grow to 30%.

A research team from Morgan Stanley visited Bermuda to survey reinsurers and alternative capital managers to compile the study.
