BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

ILS funds experience strong returns in February

The average return of insurance-linked securities and reinsurance-linked investment funds, as determined by the Eurekahedge ILS Advisers Index, reached 0.73% in February 2013, rising from 0.68% in January, reported Artemis.bm.

This represents the best performance the Index has recorded for February since 2010.

ILS Advisers said that the main driver for this solid performance was the tightening of prices in the secondary cat bond market, Artemis reported.
