Daytona Beach, Fla.-based Brown & Brown Inc. announced Tuesday that its Brown & Brown of Connecticut subsidiary has acquired certain assets of Durham, Conn.-based Corporate Benefit Consultants L.L.C.
Corporate Benefit Consultants, which was founded in 1997, has annualized revenues of about $3 million, according to a statement issued by Brown & Brown. It provides specialty employee benefits brokerage and consulting services for public and private sector clients in Connecticut, Florida, and throughout the northeastern United States.
“The firm has extensive experience in negotiating group and Taft-Hartley Act health care plans with public employee unions on behalf of public entities,” said Brown & Brown.
