CHICAGO—CNA Financial Corp. said Monday that it has named John Beckman as chief underwriting officer of its commercial insurance operations.
Mr. Beckman, who previously was chief risk officer, will be succeeded in that role by Mark Verheyen, who was vp-economic capital modeling for the Chicago-based insurer.
In addition, CNA said in a statement that Pat O’Connor has been named senior vp of its commercial monoline property unit. Mr. O’Connor joins CNA from Liberty Mutual Group Inc., where he was chief underwriting officer for the Boston-based insurer’s large property operation, CNA said.
“These organizational changes will further weave together our dedicated business units and line of business management,” Bob Lindemann, president and chief operating officer for CNA Commercial Insurance, said in a statement.
