BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

NEW YORK—Allied World Assurance Co. Holdings Ltd. on Wednesday said Allied World Re U.S. has launched a global marine and specialty division and has appointed Kevin Marine as its senior vp and head of the division.

Mr. Marine has more than 20 years of experience in the reinsurance industry. Prior to joining Allied World Re U.S., he was chief operating officer and chief underwriting officer for Platinum Underwriters Reinsurance Inc. in New York.

He will be based in New York in his new role with Allied World Re U.S.

The global marine and specialty division initially will offer reinsurance for marine, aviation, satellite and crop reinsurance on a global basis.
