NEW YORK-Dean R. O'Hare, former chairman and chief executive officer of Chubb Corp., has been elected chairman of the board of SeaPass Solutions Inc., a New York-based developer of software for the insurance industry.
Mr. O'Hare retired from his positions at Chubb at the end of 2002.
"My name was given to the SeaPass folks by an investment banking friend of mine," Mr. O'Hare said. As nonexecutive chairman of SeaPass, he will be involved with the company in such areas as corporate strategy, corporate governance and "certainly making introductions to the insurance industry," he said.
Founded in 2000, SeaPass Solutions develops and markets software enabling insurers, agents, brokers and wholesalers to transmit and receive data in real-time.
