CorVel Corp. has expanded its virtual case management resources to support injured workers during the pandemic.
The Irvine, California-based risk management company will now offer an app to help workers recovering from musculoskeletal disorders improve their physical conditioning by tracking program compliance and activity levels and enabling case managers to engage with workers on their recovery.
CorVel will also offer to clients virtual wellness checks by nurse case managers to reduce anxiety and prevent the spread of COVID-19, virtual physical and cognitive therapy, prescription home delivery, direct-to-telehealth programs for workers whose physicians are not offering in-office appointments and employee assessment screening tools.

CorVel Corp. had a right to remove a California doctor from its workers compensation medical provider network after the doctor failed to respond to utilization and peer review requests for unauthorized treatments, a California appellate court has ruled.
