The Oregon Workers' Compensation Division said Wednesday that insurers will see no change to the current workers compensation assessment rate of 6.2% in 2015.
The rate, which funds Oregon's workers comp administration and safety protocols, has remained since 2012, according to a statement by the Oregon workers comp division.
Individual self-insured employers and self-insured public employer groups can expect an additional assessment of 0.2%, while self-insured private employer groups can expect an additional assessment of 1%, according to the statement. The additional assessments are used to bolster Oregon's reserve funds for self-insured employers and self-insured employers groups.
Oregon employers that purchase workers comp policies will see a workers comp pure premium rate decrease an average of 5.3% in 2015, according to the statement.
Oregon's online enrollment portal has been largely dysfunctional since it launched on Oct. 1. It is the only exchange in the country that can't process electronic applications.
