Gallagher Re hires Aon executive for new Montreal office

Gallagher Re, the reinsurance brokerage of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., said Thursday that former Aon PLC executive Isabelle LaPalme will head the new Gallagher Re office in Montreal as executive vice president.
Ms. LaPalme and her team of 30 join Gallagher Re’s existing operations in Toronto, which opened in 2014.
She was most recently chief of broking operations and senior vice president for Aon, the statement said.
Geoff Lubert, CEO for Canada at Gallagher Re, said in the statement the broker plans further growth in Quebec.
