BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

HDI Global Specialty has moved into the marine hull and machinery London market.

The insurer has appointed senior underwriter Michelle Boyd to add the specialty line to its portfolio.

According to HDI Global Specialty, the coverage is for vessel owners, managers, charterers and financiers, and includes freight and total loss interests, shipbuilding and conversion risks, loss of earnings and war risks for physical loss or damage and collision liability.

Ms. Boyd has more than 20 years of insurance market experience, covering both broking and underwriting roles, and joins the specialty lines insurer from Axa XL, where she was senior marine and hull underwriter.

Richard Taylor, HDI Global Specialty SE U.K. managing director, said: “The London marine market remains one of the key global centers for marine insurance, and market conditions remain upbeat. Bringing Michelle in has enabled us to continue our growth strategy and add to our specialty lines portfolio.”
