Berkshire Hathaway Europe execs take on additional duties

Berkshire Hathaway Insurance Co. said Monday it has promoted Hilary Browne to the additional role of regional executive, U.K. and Europe, and Vanessa Maxwell to the additional role of country manager, U.K.
The Berkshire Hathaway Group unit said in a statement that Ms. Browne, who is Dublin-based, will work closely with Chris Colahan, head of U.K. and Europe, serving as deputy head of Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance in the U.K. and Europe. She will continue to serve as head of casualty for Europe and country manager for Ireland.
Ms. Maxwell, who is London-based, will lead BHSI’s underwriting, claims, and customer and broker engagement in the U.K. She will retain her position as head of executive and professional lines, U.K.
Ms. Maxwell was a Business Insurance 2019 Woman to Watch, EMEA.
