Allianz unit hires former Axa exec as global cyber head

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE, part of Allianz SE, has recruited former Axa XL executive Scott Sayce as global head of cyber, effective Sept. 1.
Mr. Sayce will succeed Catharina Richter, current global head of the cyber center of competence for AGCS and Allianz, who will move to a new role at Allianz to be detailed later.
As global head of cyber, London-based Mr. Sayce will lead the cyber underwriting business as well as the groupwide cyber center of competence, AGCS said in a statement Tuesday. He will report to Shanil Williams, global head of financial lines.
Mr. Sayce was most recently group head of financial lines and cyber at Axa XL, where he held a variety of senior roles after joining the company in 2017.
In March, AGCS said it had partnered with Munich Re and a Google LLC unit to offer a risk management program for cloud customers and a cyber policy with up to $50 million in limits.
