BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

NFP Corp. on Monday hired captive industry executives Jonathan McKenzie, formerly of Alterna, and Ramon (Rob) Ramos, a former Marsh LLC executive, to its specialty risk practice.

Both executives will be part of NFP’s risk and insurance strategy collective, a specialty practice that provides alternative risk consulting and captive management services.

Mr. McKenzie was named vice president, head of U.S. captive management operations at NFP. He previously served as head of captive management at Alterna, the captive management arm of Physicians Insurance, NFP said in a statement.

Mr. McKenzie will work closely with Tracy Stopford and Kara Tencellent, managing directors and co-leaders of NFP’s specialty risk practice, to grow the business. He will report to Ms. Stopford.

Mr. Ramos was named senior account executive at NFP and most recently served as an account executive with Marsh Captive Solutions, a unit of Marsh LLC, NFP said. He will report to Mr. McKenzie.

NFP is the 13th-largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking, with 2019 revenue of $1.34 billion.
