Hamilton Insurance Group enters environmental market

Hamilton Insurance Group Ltd. said Thursday it is entering the environmental insurance marketplace and has named John Termini, formerly with Markel Specialty Insurance Co., as U.S. head of environmental to lead the unit.
Since joining Hamilton Insurance last month, Mr. Termini has been assembling his team, the Hamilton, Bermuda-based company said in a statement. He has also been developing the book of business, using the company’s Lloyd’s platform.
Mr. Termini, who is based in Glen Allen, Virginia, was managing director, environmental and energy, at Markel Specialty, where he was responsible for the management, direction and profitability of the national environmental and energy liability product lines, the statement said.
