Marsh names global renewable energy leader of Marsh JLT Specialty

Marsh, a business unit of Marsh & McLennan Cos., has promoted Hamish Roberts to global renewable energy leader of Marsh JLT Specialty, effective Jan. 1.
Mr. Roberts, currently power leader of Marsh JLT Specialty, served as CEO of Aon PLC’s global power specialty unit from 2008 to 2014.
He will remain in London and report to Andrew George, global head, energy and power, Marsh JLT Specialty, the broker said in a statement Thursday.
In the newly created role, Mr. Roberts will develop new services and products to support the global renewable energy industry.
He will head a global team of more than 100 people, led regionally by Michael Kolodner in the U.S.; Martin Beck in Asia; Joanne Silberberg in Canada; Jane Smith in Australia; Darren Popham in the U.K.; Mark Walshaw in the Middle East and Africa; Maria Arana in Continental Europe; and PauloCelso Mantovani in Latin America.
Mr. George said in the statement Marsh has invested “significantly” in expanding specialist capabilities and geographical reach to support clients in renewable energy and power.
