BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Lockton Cos. LLC said Tuesday it has appointed a new chief financial officer as well as a new president of its global investment bank.

The Kansas City, Missouri-based brokerage said Troy Cook, whose first day as chief financial officer will be Sept. 24, had served for more than 20 years as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Pittsburg, Kansas-based NPC International, a restaurant franchisee and operator, before retiring in 2018.

A spokeswoman said in a statement Mr. Cook, who will be based in Kansas City, replaces Henry Bond, who left the company in July after nearly eight years as CFO.

Lockton also named Pradip Ghosh, who previously served as senior adviser at Lockton Capital Markets, as its president, a new position, effective Tuesday.

The spokeswoman said in a statement Mr. Ghosh, who is based in New York, will “augment the bank’s capability in originating and structuring attractive investment opportunities for insurance companies, family offices and other investor groups” as well as expand its platform “by building strategic partnerships with key investors and asset originators.”
