BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

American International Group Inc. Tuesday announced plans to move its headquarters next year from New York’s Financial District to Rockefeller Center in Midtown.

AIG will occupy eight floors and 325,000 square feet of a 48-story office building at 1271 Avenue of the Americas. The insurer's current headquarters is at 175 Water St.

“Our new Midtown headquarters building is in close proximity to many of our clients, distribution partners and other stakeholders,” AIG CEO Brian Duperreault said in the company’s statement announcing the move.

The insurer said it will consolidate its remaining New York-area operations into approximately 450,000 square feet divided between two new locations 28 Liberty St. in Manhattan’s Financial District and 30 Hudson St. in Jersey City, New Jersey.

The Liberty Street location is a 60-story landmarked office building, and 30 Hudson St. is a 40-story office tower located on the Jersey City waterfront.

The new spaces will be designed with lessons from the COVID-19 outbreak in mind.

“We are designing offices in these three class A buildings that will allow our teams to work more effectively and collaboratively with high-quality infrastructure … while incorporating key learnings that have emerged while working remotely,” Peter Zaffino, AIG’s president and global COO, said in the statement.
