Safe to say pandemic toilet paper drama will continue

Will society ever be able to wipe itself of the toilet paper wars? Probably not.
A San Francisco woman is now suing the parent company of her local Safeway supermarket over price gouging of toilet paper, according to several media outlets.
Eleisha Redmond alleges in her June 3 suit against Boise, Idaho-based Albertsons Cos. Inc. sticker shock over the not-so-soft pricing of her Angel Soft toilet paper, as the country grappled with COVID-19.
"[O]n or about April 13, 2020, Plaintiff paid $18.99 for Angel Soft toilet paper normally priced at $10-11 at that same Safeway location," the suit, filed in a California federal court, reads. "Plaintiff brings this action to hold Defendant liable for its unlawful price increases during the COVID-19 pandemic."
Albertsons has not responded to the suit.
