Help

BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Chubb Hazelton claims

Chubb Ltd. named Bill Hazelton head of Chubb North America claims Tuesday succeeding Megan Watt, who will move to the newly created position of head of North America complex claims.

Mr. Hazelton, who most recently was Chubb’s environmental, excess casualty and construction industry practice leader, will run the insurer’s commercial and personal lines claims operations, Chubb said in a statement said. Based in Jersey City, New Jersey, he will report to Mike Smith, Chubb’s global claims officer, the statement said.

Ms. Watt, who joined Chubb from Everest National Insurance Co. in 2018 to run North America claims, will lead a team focused on complex claims including mass torts and report to Mr. Hazelton. She will continue to be based in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, the statement said.

New York-based Stephen Buonpane will succeed Mr. Hazelton as construction industry practice leader for its large account segment, Chubb said. Previously, he was executive vice president, major accounts construction.
