Acrisure unit buys accident and health brokerage

Beach & Associates Ltd., a unit of Acrisure LLC, has acquired Risk and Insurance Consulting Services, an Atlanta-based accident and health reinsurance brokerage, Beach said in a statement Tuesday.
Risk and Insurance Consulting Services, established in 1997, will become part of Beach Re Ltd., a unit of Bermuda-based Beach, and will operate as its accident and health division, the statement said.
Risk and Insurance Consulting Services provides reinsurance placement and administration services, including medical excess reinsurance and alternative risk programs, the statement said.
Founder and CEO Richard Ritchie, as well as Jamie Brown, vice president, and Tammy Chambers, program and treaty services manager, will remain with Risk and Insurance Consulting Services following the completion of the transaction, the statement said.
Caledonia, Michigan-based Acrisure bought Beach in 2018.
