BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.
To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.
To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.
Aon PLC on Tuesday said it has combined its construction and inland marine teams into a single global practice within its reinsurance solutions business.
The new unit will be led by London-based Jonathan Conway, longtime executive at Berkshire Hathaway Inc.’s Gen Re Corp., who joined Aon in January from Willis Towers Watson PLC, the company said.
The global construction and inland marine practice group was formed “due to recognized synergies in the separate classes of business and aligns to the approach of many reinsurance carriers to write these risks together,” Aon said in a statement.
Combining the two teams into a dedicated unit “significantly enhances growth opportunities” and allows the firm to “appropriately resource the business and capitalize on best practice,” the statement said.
The practice group will collaborate with construction and engineering colleagues in Aon’s commercial risk solutions division as well as facultative colleagues, to share knowledge and expertise, the statement said.
