Hub acquires California insurance agency

Hub International Ltd. on Thursday said it has acquired the assets of G.P. Barich Insurance Agency Inc.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

According to the website of Redlands, California-based Barich, the agency provides its customers with diversified general and specialty property/casualty insurance, risk management services and personal automotive insurance as well as life and health insurance.

Barich President George Barich and will report to Jim Jesser, executive vice president of Hub California, Chicago-based Hub said in a statement.

Hub International is the sixth-largest insurance broker in the world, according to Business Insurance's latest ranking.
