CyberCube, which provides cyber risk analytics for the insurance industry, said Wednesday it has signed an agreement with CNA Financial Corp. to expand its underwriting capability.
Under its agreement with the Chicago-based insurer, CyberCube will use CNA’s insurance analytics platform to supplement its ability to underwrite, price and model cyber risk, CyberCube said in a statement.
San Francisco-based CyberCube said in its statement its risk modeling platform combines single risk underwriting and aggregation risk modeling to help insurers accurately mention emerging cyber risks’ financial impact.
Health care providers treating patients remotely need to be aware of the potential cyber risks embedded in telemedicine models and the liability that could be created for them when sharing and receiving personal health information, experts say.
