Alliant rebranding MGA business

Alliant Insurance Services Inc. is rebranding its managing general agent business as Alliant Underwriting Solutions to replace the Alliant Specialty Insurance Services brand, the broker said in a statement Tuesday.
The rebranding “comes as the division is in the midst of a significant expansion campaign driven by acquisitions and organic growth,” the statement said.
Most recently, the Newport, California-based broker made a major buy with the addition of Crystal & Company last month.
The MGA unit of Alliant provides insurance programs to groups including public entities, waste haulers, parking and valet companies, hospitals, oil and gas companies, and law firms, the statement said.
There are over 20 programs in Alliant Underwriting Solutions and over $1 billion in underwritten premium, a spokeswoman said in an email.
“We are building a powerful underwriting platform that combines deep industry expertise, sound underwriting discipline, and powerful distribution,” Sean McConlogue, president of the division, said in the statement.
