BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Beazley launches cyber and data breach response broker portal

Beazley P.L.C. said Monday that it has launched a cyber and breach response portal exclusively for its U.S. brokers.

The portal leads to a set of resources designed to keep brokers informed and educated on cyber risk and data breaches, London-based Beazley said in a statement.

Brokers will have access to information ranging from cyber basics to industry-specific issues, regulatory updates, product information, breach and claim examples, and risk insights.

The portal has a “cyber basics” section that introduces brokers to the essentials of cyber and data breach insurance, a Beazley spokeswoman said. This area also provides webinars to help them sell the insurance to clients, with a host of industry-specific claims examples.

Currently the portal has industry-specific information for retail, hospitality, higher education, financial institutions, manufacturing-wholesale and law firms, so that brokers can be apprised of specific issues that these sectors face regarding cyber and data breach risks.

Brokers will also be able to ask questions of Beazley’s teams directly from the site and access external sources.

“We have created this portal to give brokers the critical insight and tools they need to understand the risk environment our mutual clients face in these challenging times,” Mike Donovan, head of technology and cyber insurance at Beazley, said in a statement.

The company said that since the launch of Beazley Breach Response in 2009, Beazley has helped clients handle more than 6,500 data breaches. The portal is available at www.cyber.beazley.com.
