BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Fireman's Fund executive moves to QBE North America as president

Kathleen O. Zortman has moved from Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. to president of standard lines property/casualty at QBE North America, QBE said Tuesday.

Ms. Zortman, whose appointment took effect Sept. 1, most recently was chief field executive at Fireman's Fund.

She succeeds Alan Driscoll, who was named chief operating officer of QBE North America's standard lines property/casualty business last month.

“Kathleen has a track record of driving profitable growth through underwriting excellence and a strong focus on the customer, which is exactly what QBE is doing here in North America and around the world as we align our product and service capabilities,” said Dave Duclos, CEO of QBE North America, said in a statement.

Ms. Zortman is based in New York.
