Southeast Asia storms drive $30 billion in losses

Overlapping tropical storms and intense monsoon activity across Southeast Asia since November have caused over $30 billion in economic losses, according to Aon plc, Asia Insurance Review reported. Tropical storm Senyar produced at least $19.8 billion in losses across Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Sri Lanka faces an estimated $7 billion in losses, while cyclonic activity in Vietnam has caused more than $3.2 billion in damage.
