U.K.-based Stonegate Pub Company’s subsidiaries filed an 85 million British pound ($113 million) negligence claim against Marsh LLC after its business interruption policy failed to protect about 30% of its 750 pubs during COVID pandemic shutdowns, Insurance Times reported. Stonegate alleges that the company’s policy only covered the parent company and not the wider group, which restricted Stonegate to a single policy business interruption payout.
