Mosaic Insurance said Thursday that it has launched an excess casualty insurance unit, led by a former Allied World underwriter.
The unit focuses on large corporate and multinational companies, particularly those with exposures in North America, and offers up to $10 million in capacity, Mosaic said.
Bermuda-based April Andruczyk will lead the unit and underwriters Andrew Watson and Chris Abraham, also based in Bermuda, have also joined Mosaic.
Previously, Ms. Andruczyk was vice president of general casualty at Allied World, which she joined in 2020 from Chubb.
Mr. Watson was previously a senior excess casualty underwriter at American International Group, which he joined from Chubb in 2019, and Mr. Abraham was an assistant vice president of excess casualty at Chubb.
Michael Warwicker, a former Chubb excess casualty underwriter, will serve as a U.K.-based consultant for the unit.
