Jamaica to receive full $150 million cat bond payout

Jamaica will receive the full $150 million payout from its 2024 parametric catastrophe bond by Dec. 1 after Hurricane Melissa met the pre-agreed triggers, according to the World Bank, Artemis reported. Fifteen global investors funded the bond at issuance, with allocations coming from specialist insurance-linked securities funds, insurance and reinsurance companies and asset managers across the U.S., Europe, Bermuda and Asia.
