Bureau Veritas ranks No. 1 in the Business Insurance 2011 ranking of the 10 largest safety consultants published Monday.
Maintaining its leading position from last year, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Bureau Veritas reported $465.4 million in unbundled safety consulting revenues in 2010, more than $300 million more than the No. 2-ranked consultant.
Wilmington, Del.-based DuPont Sustainable Solutions maintained its No. 2 ranking from 2010 with $160 million in unbundled safety consulting revenues, a 2.5% increase from last year, according to the Business Insurance ranking.
New York-based Marsh Risk Consulting, a unit of Marsh Inc., debuted on the 2011 ranking at the No. 3 position with $93.9 million in unbundled safety consulting revenues, pushing Lafayette, La.-based ATC Group Services Inc., dba ATC Associates Inc., to the No. 4 position with $54.2 million in unbundled safety consulting revenues.
Four other safety consultants made their debut in the top 10 ranking, including Boston-based Liberty Mutual Commercial Markets, a unit of Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.; Ojai, Calif.-based Behavioral Science Technology Inc.; Philadelphia-based ESIS Inc.; and New York-based Regional Reporting Inc.
