Hackers are using remote monitoring and management tools to infiltrate freight brokers and trucking carriers, reroute shipments and steal physical cargo, according to U.S.-based e-mail security firm Proofpoint Inc., BleepingComputer reported. Proofpoint has recorded nearly two dozen campaigns since August, affecting targets mainly in North America, Brazil, Mexico, India, Germany, Chile and South Africa.
