A fire at Hong Kong’s Wang Fuk Court estate swept through seven residential blocks wrapped in bamboo scaffolding and green mesh, killing at least 44 people, South China Morning post reported. Authorities said they found Styrofoam material inside the buildings that may have contributed to the fire spreading so quickly. As of this reporting, 279 people remained missing.
