The Hague Court of Appeal has dropped further criminal proceedings against Ralph Hamers, former CEO of Netherlands-based ING Groep NV, NL Times reports, citing ANP. The decision follows years of investigation after ING reached a 2018 settlement of 775 million euros ($903 million) over inadequate anti-money laundering controls and after a 2020 order to investigate Hamers. Prosecutors concluded there was insufficient evidence to bring charges.
