Now in its 11th year, Business Insurance's Women to Watch Awards & Leadership Conference is the only recognition program that celebrates leading women from every facet of the commercial insurance industry.

The program was created in 2006 to recognize leading women in commercial insurance, risk management, employee benefits and related fields such as consulting and law. A professional development and networking conference was added to the program in 2011 to address the need for greater gender diversity by illustrating how heterogeneous leadership teams can enhance a company's profitability and elevate its brand profile.

Honorees are nominated by Business Insurance readers and selected by a panel of Business Insurance editors based on a four criteria: recent professional accomplishments, expertise, leadership and future career prospects.

Several past honorees, along with other insurance industry leadership, provide input in developing the annual conference. This year's Women to Watch Leadership Conference Advisory Board is comprised of:
