Business Insurance names 2017 Innovation Awards winners

Business Insurance on Wednesday announced the winners of its 2017 Innovation Awards.

The awards recognize innovative products and services designed for professional risk managers. In addition, this year the program was expanded to recognize an innovative risk management program designed by a risk management team.

The winners were selected by an independent panel of risk managers.

The award-winning companies in the products and services category are:

• American International Group Inc.

• Chubb Ltd., which had two winning entries

• Emerge Diagnostics Inc.

• FM Global

• Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., which had two winning entries

• Marsh Ltd.

• Salus Systems L.L.C.

• Triax Technologies Inc.

The winner of the inaugural Innovation Award for a program designed by a risk management team is the entry by AIG and Europcar Group S.A., which featured a gamified telematics risk reduction program for drivers.

The awards will be presented during the Business Insurance Innovation Summit, which will be held Oct. 5 in New York.
