IRB-Brasil Resseguros SA posted a net income of 144 million Brazilian reals ($27 million) in the second quarter of 2025, a 120% increase from the prior-year period, Reinsurance News reported. Underwriting profit surged 579% to BRL229 million despite written premiums falling 6% to BRL1.3 billion, while its combined ratio improved to 90% from 106% a year earlier.
