April cat reinsurance renewals in Japan as predicted: Aon

Aon Plc said that the April 1 was a more orderly and predictable renewal period for Japan with over 95% of catastrophe reinsurance renewing, although property risk, engineering and casualty lines remained somewhat challenging, Asia Insurance Review reported. In contrast to last year’s renewals, property catastrophe capacity was more than ample at April 1, resulting in greater competition and over-placement.
