California, Oregon move towards implementing universal health care

California and Oregon are moving toward implementing universal healthcare coverage systems, following the passing of laws last year that set deadlines for their development, Healthcare Dive reports. The systems, which could save billions in health care costs and improve access, are like the Medicare for All program popularized by Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vermont.
