Storms likely to push up reinsurance costs in GCC

Analysts at Moody's Investors Service Inc. said the April storms that hit Oman, Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E., and other Gulf Cooperation Council nations are likely to increase local insurers’ claims and reinsurance costs, Reinsurance News reported. They said smaller, marginally profitable insurers will be most affected.
